![]() ![]() but I'm not running for an elected position. I think identifying and chastising that particular group of people is good. When they reviewed the clip he did conceded that Biden mentioned not the majority of republicans but still found the statement unclear and overall bad for the goal of unifying both sides. He didn't find the distinction between 'MAGA Republican' (People who believe in the voter fraud conspiracy) and normal republicans clear at all, which I think is fair. I think Lex's point was that if Biden was looking to unify both sides, then calling out one side isn't a great strategy. I like that Destiny will correct himself when given more information, but I have yet to see Lex do anything of the sort with regards to what he platforms during the pandemic. ![]() Shit, DESTINY even comes close to making these mistakes when he makes statements like “Nobody died during the Afghanistan withdrawal” when in fact, 13 service members were killed in an explosion. Look at how Vaush transformed into a bigger and bigger hypocrite in his positions. But forgoing the empirical nature of reality is how you betray yourself. Is Lex a bad person? Fuck no, he’s a really nice and sweet guy to listen to and he wants to make the world a better place. And you will be left yelling “I told you so, you stupid fucks” to everyone that fell for the hype. Similarly, I think with time, the honeymoon period for Lex will die down and people will start commenting about him in the sub when he starts to rub people the wrong way. Look at how 4Thot was dismissed over his views of Max. or you're just incredibly indecisive or dare repeat Destiny. Just say you don't feel informed enough to have to fight with your friends/alien some of your audience about it. We're abolitionists just supposed to wait for the moderates to come around? Certain issues we've known the correct direction for 50+ years depending on who you read, but we can't say that? We still have to act like Anarcho capitalism or private healthcare in the US is something we have to consider and be open minded about? Maybe in some thought siminar but in the discussion if real political ideas and policies that impact people's real lives I feel like this centrist nonsense is pretty irresponsible. are they not supposed to tell you what they think the answer is? At what point can you advocate? At what point is it questionable to NOT advocate. But if someone has been talking about and discussing this stuff for decades and has come to conclusions based off all of that and evidence, etc. Tell me why i'm bugging though because I just might be.Īdd to that the "we have to be open minded and consider all ideas". I can as a left leaning democrat only engage so much of the 'well ya know the ballot boxes.well ya know the fraudulent code in the machines.' and to me it sounds fair to call this kind of thing out because it takes 2 complete parties to run the US we cannot have only Left legislation or Right legislation so when one side errs we MUST be able to call them out even if it might spark some sort of derision. I do not like how this is thought of as a bad thing from lex, Specifically because I think that the healing that he expressed needs to be done FROM WITHIN right not FROM the left. That does so in a way that describes the stakes and how dangerous it is to not do this. There needs to be a couth, a strategy, a procedure, that isolates the very real Right winged supporters from the very real, very loud Maga Right wing supporters. This is how I feel about Lex and his sentiments in not calling out the maga republicans. But we need to be able to close our hearts enough to be able to speak in a way that's gonna be hard on some people while giving them the inspiration and love they need to grow. ![]() It's really the most kind hearted, 'Let me give you 3.75 for bus fare' kind of people that make my heart swell with good emotions. ![]()
